This publication presents the report of the Fourth Asian and Pacific Population Conference, held in Bali, Indonesia from 19 to 27 August 1992. The Conference was convened to provide a forum at which the Governments of countries and areas of the Asian and Pacific region would review and appraise population trends and policies in the region. The theme was "Population and sustainable development ; goals and strategies into the twenty-first century," The report contains summaries of background papers presented, as well as, the Bali Declaration which was adopted at the meeting of ministers immediately following the Conference.
