This study tour is part of ESCAP’s ongoing efforts under the project “Policymaking to Promote Climate- and Gender-Responsive Finance, Investment, and MSMEs in Asia, the Pacific, and Mesoamerica.” Building on the momentum from the 2024 study tour in Bogotá, Colombia, the 2025 edition will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in collaboration with the Government of Malaysia and key partners including SME Corp. Malaysia and SME Bank. 

The study tour will bring together policymakers from ASEAN and Mesoamerican countries to share knowledge, explore good practices, and advance collaborative initiatives that support MSMEs in their green transition. This includes a strong emphasis on toolkits that promote access to finance, ESG reporting, and sustainable supply chains, alongside deep dives into Malaysia’s emerging green ecosystem.
