Persons with disabilities are at higher risk of death, injury and further impairment as a result of disasters, owing to their exclusion from decision-making processes and action on disaster risk reduction policies and plans.

This side event explored how disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction (DiDRR) could contribute to leaving no one behind at all DRR stages through identifying effective actions taken by stakeholders.
