The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is hosting the first Informal Meeting on the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan Implementation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 12 to 13 February 2025. This workshop is part of the UK Green Transition Fund’s ASEAN Green Investment Catalyst Project.

The ASEAN Green Investment Catalyst (AGIC) programme focuses on supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP), by boosting institutional capacity and project offerings of investment promotion agencies regionally and nationally to attract investment in green transition sectors. The programme is funded by the UK Mission to ASEAN under the ASEAN-UK GTF.
 
The first implementation workshop will build on the foundation of previous capacity-building sessions held in Bangkok and will mark the transition from planning to action. there will be a practical focus on developing baseline knowledge in the sectors of focus in the action plan, engage in hands-on research and analysis to create foundational promotional materials, and also discuss and aim to establish key performance indicators to track the implementation progress.
