ESCAP will convene a virtual check‑in meeting on 15 June 2026 bringing together government focal points on ageing from East and North‑East Asia, the Pacific, and South‑East Asia. The meeting will provide an opportunity for participants to share updates on progress in conducting voluntary national reviews as part of the fifth review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA). It will facilitate the exchange of experiences, challenges and lessons learned, while promoting peer learning through country presentations and interactive discussion to support a coordinated and inclusive regional review process.
