The Policy Dialogue and the Launch of the Toolkit for Policymakers on Strengthening Women’s Entrepreneurship in National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Policies and Action Plans will be held virtually on 23 November 2022 from 9.00 – 11.30 hours (GMT+7, Bangkok/Jakarta time). The event is jointly organized by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the ASEAN Secretariat.
The Toolkit for Policymakers, led by the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME) and ESCAP, has been designed as a practical tool to enable MSME agencies and other relevant stakeholders to assess gaps, take stock of opportunities and design gender-focused interventions through national policies to advance women’s entrepreneurship in the ASEAN region. The Toolkit for Policymakers was endorsed by the ASEAN Economic Ministers at the 54th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting in September 2022. The Policy Dialogue will launch the Policy Toolkit and present its key elements to policymakers and agencies responsible for MSME development in the ASEAN.
