Empower Women, Advance Gender Equality
The Asia-Pacific Portal for Gender Equality has been established to support governments and other stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region in their efforts to realize gender equality and women’s empowerment, particularly with respect to the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and the Asian and Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Advancing Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.

The Asia-Pacific Portal for Gender Equality has been established to support governments and other stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region in their efforts to realize gender equality.
Increasing the availability of gender data and statistics is essential to support national governments in monitoring and reporting on such progress.
The Portal’s Interactive Data interface serves to understand the progress made over time per country and region as well as to shed light on existing data gaps.
