The 12th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) will convene policymakers, international organizations, civil society representatives, youths and development experts to assess regional progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote evidence-based solutions for sustainable, inclusive development.
This year’s Forum will also spotlight regional efforts on the five SDGs under review:
Goal 3: Good health and well-being
Goal 5: Gender equality
Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
Goal 14: Life below water
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Under the theme “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for leaving no one behind in Asia and the Pacific”, the Forum is further expected to explore policies to accelerate the SDG journey for least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and small island developing States in the region.
