This publication reports on a 1989 ESCAP workshop aimed at strengthening the management and operation of women’s information centres across East and South-East Asia. It outlines the development of the Women’s Information Network for Asia and the Pacific (WINAP), emphasizing the importance of data collection, analysis, and dissemination for advancing women’s status.
