
A joint expert group meeting with the Geo-Informatics & Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) on “Improving the use and sharing of geospatial information for resilient and sustainable development was held from 23-24 February 2022 in Phuket, Thailand. This meeting was attended by professional officials from Phuket city and other provinces of Thailand. International participants and resource persons from other countries in Asia and the Pacific will participate in the meeting via online platform.
The focus of this meeting is to strengthen the integration of geospatial information for sustainable urban development and to share the knowledge, experiences, operational tools, and platform. Songkhla (Thailand), Makassar and Bandung (Indonesia) which are the pilot cities will share their experiences in prioritizing the environment and health-related issues through integration of the georeferenced data.
