The Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Journal is published twice a year as a policy-oriented journal with objectives to stimulate and enrich research in the formulation of policy in the Asia-Pacific region towards the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This year’s issue, Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Journal, vol. 29, No. 1, May 2022, includes a comprehensive survey of sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighting the evidence-based impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on all aspects of societies and economies. The issue also includes research articles presenting a comprehensive, integrated framework for inclusive growth for the region, proposed fiscal policy approach to tackle inequality, unconventional monetary policy thinking, inclusion-innovation-stability tradeoffs in financial sector, potentials of central bank digital currency, mobile financial services, and impacts of climate variability on food production.

This side event will feature the key findings and recommendations of the current issue of the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Journal which will serve as a basis to provoke further discussion, policy dialogue and knowledge exchange among policymakers, academics, researchers and development practitioners on sustainable development issues in the region.
