The first three-day national capacity building workshop was a hands-on workshop, designed based on the needs of the country and aligned with the project’s objective to build skills in analyzing data to assess inequalities in the registration of births and deaths. The workshop supplemented lectures with practical sessions and exercises. Participants comprised staff of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Basic knowledge of Excel was desirable.
