The 80th Session of the Commission Side Event entitled "Launching of Women ICT Frontier Initiative (WIFI) DX: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through Digital Transformation” is jointly organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand, Social Development Division, and the Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP).  The event aims to introduce the Women ICT Frontier Initiative (WIFI) DX programme designed to empower women entrepreneurs through digital transformation.  It will exchange experiences and lessons learned on national ICT capacity-building strategies and programs for women entrepreneurs and share perspectives and good practices on effective capacity-building.  The event will address key issues related to digital empowerment and capacity-building while highlighting the importance of leveraging digital technologies to empower underrepresented groups, such as women entrepreneurs and older persons, thereby contributing to the broader goal of sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.
