This ADB—UNESCAP—AIC E-commerce Forum aims to facilitate a multistakeholder dialogue to enhance policy frameworks and guide future e-commerce development in the Asia and Pacific region. Discussions will include (i) the current e-commerce landscape, with a focus on the challenges that developing economies and SMEs face in leveraging e-commerce platforms; (ii) policy issues related to competition, taxation, and environmental sustainability; (iii) international cooperation to amplify the benefits of e-commerce and digital trade; (iv) inclusivity and sustainability by empowering SMEs, including women-owned firms, to engage in global trade via e-commerce; and (v) how smart technologies can enable greener trade and transportation processes.
